On July 23, the border between the territories of Ukraine and the Crimean peninsula was gone. Earlier, on the page of the schedule and results of the competition, where fans can support their team, when choosing countries, it was possible to notice that Crimea is separated from mainland Ukraine by a line denoted by state borders.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry instructed the embassies in Switzerland and Japan to investigate the situation.

Recall that Crimea became part of the Russian Federation in 2014 after a referendum held on the peninsula after a coup d'etat in Ukraine. Ukraine considers Crimea to be its territory occupied by Russia. Western countries also share this opinion. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the issue of Crimea is "finally closed".
