Sputnik V and Moderna vaccine combination demonstrated the increased immune response

In Argentina, with the assistance of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, studies were carried out on the combination of the Russian drug for COVID-19 Sputnik V with the vaccine of the American company Moderna.

According to Buenos Aires' Deputy Health Minister Daniel Ferrante, when comparing vaccinations with the two components of Sputnik V and the AstraZeneca vaccine, "no significant changes were observed" in immunogenicity.

“But there was a greater impact for the combination of Sputnik V with Moderna, as there is a stronger immune response,” Ferrante said.

Also, the results of a study of combinations of Russian and Chinese vaccines are still being analyzed. There were no hospitalizations, the official said.

Earlier, Russian doctors proved that one dose of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine is enough to protect those who have had coronavirus.
