118 passengers were removed from the Aeroflot flight for technical reasons. The plane was on its way from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk to Moscow. Only passengers with children, elderly and people with limited mobility remained on board.

According to the Governor of the Sakhalin Region, Valery Limarenko, on his Telegram channel, 82 people from those remaining at the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk airport will fly to Moscow on a later flight. “15 [people] handed over their tickets, 3 - flew through Khabarovsk, 18 people are leaving tomorrow. Of these, 10 are accommodated in a hotel and provided with food, 8 people are local residents, abandoned the hotel and went home”, - he added.

The Sakhalin.Info newspaper writes that the incident occurred due to an aircraft breakdown. According to preliminary information, there was a problem with the escape ladder. The airline has no comments yet.
