On August 20, the first launch of OneWeb satellites in 2021 was supposed to take place at the Baikonur cosmodrome, but at 1:23 Moscow time the prelaunch preparation was canceled.

The launch was postponed for a day. The second attempt is scheduled for August 21, 1:18 Moscow time.If the launch is successful, the number of the British company's vehicles in orbit will reach 288.

As RIA Novosti clarifies, the launch did not take place due to a malfunction in the ground equipment, and there are no comments on the rocket itself.

A TASS source indicated that there was an abnormal operation of the valves of the ground complex.

Recall that the last launch of the Soyuz-2.1b rocket with OneWeb satellites was carried out from the Vostochny cosmodrome in April. The launch was the third fully commercial, carried out from the Amur cosmodrome this year.
