As the president of the Russian section of the International Political Association Yuri Zhdanov (pictured) said in an interview with Sputnik radio, close attention is focused on Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
"Various terrorist cells banned in Russia operate in the states adjacent to Afghanistan. It is expected that through them a stream of illegal immigrants connected not only with criminals, but also with terrorists can go", - the expert emphasized.
He explained that an aggravation of the criminogenic situation can be observed in the fall, since criminals can begin to enter Russia along with refugees from Afghanistan. It is difficult now to predict how the situation will develop, but “this issue should be dealt with closely” already today, Zhdanov is sure.
Let us remind you that earlier a thousand - or even more - Afghans were allowed to enter the territory of the Russian Federation. Among them are persons with citizenship, residence permits and students.
In turn, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation promised to help 1.6 thousand Afghan students and cadets with visas. Today, there are many citizens in Afghanistan who want to leave the country captured by the Taliban * as soon as possible.
* The Taliban is recognized as terrorist and banned in Russia.
