As the business information agency Prime reports with reference to the telegram channel of the government of the Russian Federation, from now on, the car registration certificate, generated in the form of a QR-code, can be stored in the "Gosuslugi.Avto" application.
“The terrible dream of any motorist will soon become a thing of the past. Now the vehicle registration certificate can be stored in the application "Gosuslugi.Avto" (State Services) and presented to the traffic police inspector in the form of a QR-code on a smartphone", - is stated in the message.
The Ministry of Digital Industry has developed a new application for motorists in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It is already available for download.
Those users who download the new application will be able to challenge fines for traffic violations remotely, without personally contacting the traffic police. In the future, it is planned to create an additional function in the service for preserving the digital OSAGO policy.
While the new application is working in test mode, and when a car stops at a checkpoint, the traffic police have the right to demand from the driver not only digital, but also paper documents. However, starting from the new year, the service is expected to start working in a full-fledged mode, and drivers will no longer need to present paper versions of the vehicle registration certificate to the traffic police.
For many car owners and drivers who use cars under a power of attorney, this service will become an additional "insurance" against problems with law enforcement officers in cases where a person has forgotten to take documents with him.
In the future, through the new application, it will be possible to perform other actions related to the car - for example, to issue a Euro-protocol in the event of an accident.
