Russian tourists vaccinated with the EpiVacCorona and CoviVac vaccines will also have to show a negative coronavirus test upon arrival in Turkey. From now on, this country recognizes only Sputnik V. Unvaccinated Russians or those who have been vaccinated with another drug need to take a PCR test.

According to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), Turkey has updated the rules for the entry of Russian tourists. From September 14, the country accepts only if there is a certificate of vaccination with "Sputnik V" (the second dose must be administered at least 14 days before arrival), a certificate of a past illness (valid for six months) or a fresh negative PCR test.

In a circular from the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs dated September 3, 2021, it is said that those foreigners who are vaccinated with vaccines approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) are exempted from providing PCR tests. It should be noted that none of the Russian vaccines are recognized by the WHO. However, Sputnik V has been approved by Turkey for emergency use.

At the same time, ATOR indicates the absence of an official position of the Turkish authorities on this issue, which misleads Russian tourists. The Association points to the fact that the national carrier of Russia was not notified of the new rules, since there is no updated information on the Aeroflot website. ATOR sent an official request to the Turkish Embassy on this issue.

Earlier it was reported that Turkey did not recognize the vaccination by the Russian "Sputnik Light".
