Users complained about blocking Google Docs

Apparently, the blockages began on the night of September 16. “Docs.google.com is unlocked. But it seems that during the nighttime blocking, the banned list of approved candidates has already gone to many UGC sites”, - says a new publication by Roskomsvoboda.

Information about the blocking was also posted on the GlobalCheck Telegram channel. “The blocking is probably related to the publication of the Smart Voting lists on the Google Docs resource”, - it says.

Also, there was information about blocking telegra.ph from the Telegram team. Presumably, Smart Voting recommendations were also posted there. Both resources are currently available.

In early September, it became known that the Moscow Arbitration Court, at the request of a commercial organization from Nevinnomyssk that sells sheep products, banned Yandex and Google from displaying Smart Voting (a project by opposition leader Alexey Navalny) in search engines.

In addition, Roskomnadzor, at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office, restricted access to the Smart Voting website. The department said that the reason for such actions was the allegedly available resource "connection with an extremist organization".
