Observers recorded an increase in the number of DDoS attacks on the online voting service on the first election day. The CEC notes that the activity around the resources has indeed increased, but so far no serious and potentially dangerous attacks have been observed.

“As we have already noted, we use modern technologies to counteract, taking into account the fact that traditionally on voting days, activity increases. Today, everything is going on as usual, we do not see any serious activities yet”, - CEC member Anton Lopatin commented to RIA Novosti.

Earlier, small DDoS attacks on the e-voting portal were recorded at the Public Headquarters for Election Observation in Moscow.

We will remind, from 17 to 19 September elections of deputies of the State Duma are held. This year , residents of Moscow, Sevastopol, Kursk, Nizhny Novgorod, Yaroslavl, Murmansk and Rostov regions, as well as Russians living in the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, are participating in remote voting.
