According to Kommersant, Ivan Turcan, Alexander Butnar, Denis Grozava and Nikolay Teterya were found guilty of committing crimes under Art. 158, art. 162 and Art. 226 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft, robbery and theft of weapons). The organizer of the criminal group Burnaru will go to a strict regime colony for 11 years. Another attacker will spend 6 years and 11 months on "stricter" regime. Two other criminals were sentenced to 6 years of general regime.
As established by the investigation and the court, the criminal group was created in 2018. Since that moment, the members of the organized criminal group have committed 10 thefts and two robberies. The attackers chose the homes of wealthy people in the Moscow and Tver regions. After the owners left, they opened the windows and took all valuables out of the houses. Collections of foreign banknotes and coins attracted the attention of criminals.
It's worth reminding that, being in the Istra IVS, the group escaped on August 6, 2021. Alexander Mavridi, accused of murder and kidnapping, also fled with them. They disassembled the door with a wrench that they had picked up in the pre-trial detention center. Moreover, neither the cameras nor the alarms in the IVS worked, so the police officers learned about the escape only in the morning. However, the attackers were detained - some of them also came to the police.
