According to TASS with reference to the data of the chairman of the regional election commission, Denis Kuzmenko, the election commission received 100% of the protocols.
"Mikhail Vladimirovich Degtyarev has 56.81% of the vote", - the message says.
Degtyarev's closest rival, nominated by Fair Russia - For the Truth, TV presenter of Channel One Marina Kim won 25.39% of the vote, pensioner Vladimir Parfenov from the Party of Pensioners - 10.02%, General Director of Sphere LLC Babek Mamedov from the Rodina party "- 3.53%.
According to the election commission, if no violations are found, then the announced figures will not change. However, the final results will be approved on September 21.
The turnout in the region was about 44%, more than 420 thousand people took part in the voting.
Earlier it was reported that after the appointment of Degtyarev as acting governor of the region, residents for many months went to protest actions. They demanded the release of the previously elected "people's governor" of the region, Sergei Furgal, who had been arrested on suspicion of committing criminal offenses. Degtyarev publicly supported the actions of the police, who beat and detained protesters. The unpopularity of Degtyarev's appointee was so high that he had to hire a guard. The amount of the tender for these purposes amounted to 33 million rubles. This direction of budget spending caused a scandal in the region, which seriously shaken its rating. The victory of the unpopular politician in the elections came as a surprise to many.
Simultaneously with the election of the governor, the Khabarovsk citizens voted for the State Duma deputies, the deputy of the Khabarovsk Krai Legislative Duma in the Transport Constituency, and also elected the heads of local self-government bodies.
Furgal's son Anton tried to register to participate in the elections to the State Duma. He went to the State Duma in the 70th constituency, in which his father had previously been elected to the State Duma. However, the election commission refused to register him. The reason for the refusal was the flaws in the subscription lists.
Former governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Sergei Furgal was arrested in the summer of 2020 on charges of organizing two murders and an attempt on the life of businessmen in 2004-2005. The governor was removed from office and transported to Moscow, where he was placed in the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center. By decision of the Moscow City Court, Furgal's arrest was extended until October 7. Thus, the court rejected the defense's petition to transfer the ex-official to house arrest.
Sergei Furgal does not admit the charges against him, considering the case "ordered" and "politically motivated." He refused the deal with the investigation.
