The bad weather led to a power outage in eight districts of Dagestan. About 146 thousand inhabitants of the region are left without electricity.

"From eight in the morning on September 23 to the present, due to rain and a very strong wind with gusts of up to 25 meters per second, blackouts occur in 6-10 kV distribution grids (a branch of IDGC of the North Caucasus, Dagenergo)", - informs press service Ministry of Energy of Russia.

The department noted that the region is working to restore power supply.

Outages are observed in Sergokalinsky, Khunzakhsky, Shamilsky, Kayakentsky, Levashinsky, Tlyaratinsky, Kumtorkalinsky and Karabudakhkentsky districts of the region at facilities with low voltage. At high voltage facilities over 35 kV, no violations with the transmission of electricity were identified. The Dagenergo company has transferred its employees to a special work mode. 65 brigades were created to eliminate the consequences of bad weather. 195 power engineers and 73 pieces of equipment were involved.

Power outages continue, despite Rosseti's statements about the start of a large-scale project to modernize networks in Dagestan. This year the company intended to invest over one billion rubles in the development of the republic's network complex. The company promised to eliminate all "bottlenecks" on 6-10 kV networks and repair problem objects.

Rains in Dagestan are forecast up to and including Saturday. On Sunday, cloudy weather is forecasted. The air temperature warms up to plus 20 degrees during the day. At night, the air temperature will drop to 13 degrees.
