The chief executive of the pharmaceutical company Moderna, Stefan Bansel (pictured), made a sensational statement to the Swiss newspaper Neue Zuercher Zeitung: the COVID-19 pandemic will end by next fall. The vaccine production will be ready to meet global demand so that all countries of the world have access to coronavirus vaccinations by mid-2022, Reuters quoted as saying:

"Given the expansion of industry-wide capacity over the past six months, there should be enough doses available by the middle of next year so that everyone on this earth can be vaccinated..."

According to him, vaccinations will soon be available even for babies.

You can either get vaccinated to have a good winter. Or you don't, and then you risk getting sick and, perhaps, even ending up in the hospital..."

When asked if this meant a return to normal life in the second half of next year, he replied: "I believe that in a year..."

Bansel said he expects governments to approve additional vaccinations for people already vaccinated because at-risk patients who were vaccinated last fall "certainly" need it.

“We are currently testing delta-optimized options that will form the basis of vaccination in 2022. We are also trying the Delta Plus Beta vaccine, designed for the next mutation that scientists believe is likely..."

According to Bansel, the cost of vaccination will remain the same, and thus, by next fall, the entire population of the planet will either have been ill with the corresponding consequences, or will receive a vaccination, and the pandemic will end. It remains only to be patient for a year.

Bansel also predicts that young people will be vaccinated against the coronavirus once every three years, and the elderly - once a year.
