Moscow can help the Taliban movement in reducing the pressure of sanctions, said Deputy Minister of Culture and Information of Afghanistan Zabiullah Mujahid (pictured).

According to RIA Novosti, the deputy minister says that the new Afghan authorities intend to obtain "tangible positive results" in the UN Security Council. In an interview with the newspaper, Mujakhod said that the Taliban* are asking Russia "in the process of rebuilding our country".

Recall that representatives of the Taliban* seized power in Afghanistan in August.

On September 16, the first meeting of the new government of the country took place. During the meeting, the current political and economic situation in the country was discussed. The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hasan Akhund

This week the Taliban* asked the UN to appoint a representative to the organization for the opportunity to speak to leaders of other countries. The militants called the conditions on which the world community is ready to recognize the new government of Afghanistan "overstated".
