Warming without "Indian summer" predicted for Central Russia

Residents of Central Russia are expected to warm up to 12-13 degrees next week. But it will not be possible to call the weather “Indian summer”, stated Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center.

"Compared to cold weather, warming will occur, the temperature will rise, it will be 12-13 degrees, but compared to the climate, the temperature background will be around normal, near climatic values, so this is not a positive anomaly that is associated with "Indian summer"", - "Interfax agency" cites the words of a meteorologist.

He pointed out that after abnormally negative temperatures this week, when the temperature background turned out to be 4-5 degrees below normal, there will be a warming, which, however, the expert is in no hurry to call warming.

"You need to be free in your judgments - if this warming has a good effect on a person, he is happy, the temperature is close to normal, then we can call it "Indian summer", but this is not a classic "Indian summer", although next week there will be a spur of high pressure and there will be sunshine", - said Vilfand.

According to the expert, "Indian summer" means the spread of the Azoic anticyclone through the south of Western Europe to the center of European Russia. In this case, a "special weather" is established.

Wilfand stressed that such a weather phenomenon does not happen every year, but only twice every three years.
