In Los Vegas, the world's tallest Ferris wheel, the High Roller, stood up during work, reports Insider. As it turned out later, the incident happened due to a problem with the connection to the network associated with one of the cabins. While engineers tried to activate the mechanism, 150 people sat in their cubicles, some at the height of a 55-story skyscraper. In the end, all passengers were safely brought to the ground and received an apology and compensation for moral damage.
The High Roller is 167.7 meters high. The Las Vegas wheel is 2.7 meters higher than the previous record holder, the Singapore Flyer. However, the status of the highest Las Vegas attraction has only a short time left - in October, the Ain Dubai wheel with a height of 210 meters will be launched in the United Arab Emirates.
