In the elections to the State Duma, over 900 cyber attacks were identified in the remote electronic voting system, which were aimed at disrupting the operation of the system. Moreover, alterations of the address of the source of the attack were detected.

This was stated by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev. He recalled, speaking in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk at a meeting on ensuring national security in the Far Eastern Federal District, that the approved national security strategy of the country included among the national priority the protection of Russian society from destructive information and psychological impact.

- This is due to a significant deterioration in recent years of the situation in the information space, primarily in connection with the increased external interference in the internal affairs of our state, - stressed Patrushev.

Recall that electronic voting took place in seven regions: Moscow, Sevastopol, Nizhny Novgorod, Kursk, Yaroslavl, Murmansk and Rostov regions.

Note that the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation stated that they did not find signs of falsification in the results of remote electronic voting, and the Kremlin reported that now, after successfully testing the experiment in several pilot regions, they intend to distribute DEG experience for the whole country.

At the same time, immediately after summing up the preliminary results of the elections, representatives of the opposition parties staged a protest rally in Moscow, at which they decided to seek the cancellation of not only the results of electronic voting, but also the abandonment of the system itself.
