The information was confirmed to Interfax by the press secretary of the court Olga Bondareva.
She clarified that, in addition to Zak, the managing director of the Digital Education Platforms division of Sberbank, Maxim Inkin, and the legal adviser, teacher of the RANEPA Kristina Kryuchkova, were also arrested. They are charged with fraud committed in an especially large form.
Probably, all three became defendants in the criminal case of the former deputy head of the Ministry of Education and vice-president of Sberbank Marina Rakova. On September 29, Rakova was taken for interrogation at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. She is suspected of large-scale fraud in connection with embezzlement of budgetary funds during the implementation of the Education program. She faces up to ten years in prison.
However, she did not appear for interrogation and, presumably, is hiding from the investigation in the Moscow region.
