The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) has released the Pandora Papers on the involvement of a number of world leaders - current and former - in offshore schemes. The consortium called this investigation the most ambitious disclosure of financial secrets.

The dossier includes reports from over 600 media representatives from 117 countries and data from more than 11.9 million files obtained as a result of a leak, data on 35 current and former national leaders, 330 officials from 91 countries, including the Russian Federation.

According to the ICIJ, the dossier includes "ambassadors, mayors and ministers, presidential advisers, generals and the head of the central bank".

It states, in particular, that Czech Prime Minister Andrei Babis used an offshore investment company to buy real estate in France at a price of $ 22 million.

Among the Russians are the head of Channel One, Konstantin Ernst, and businessmen Leonid Lebedev. And Alexander Abramov.

Note that in 2018, when checking the so-called "Panama papers", 4197 offshore companies controlled by Russians, including governors, ministers and deputies, were found.

Last year, we recall, ICIJ conducted an investigation, based on financial intelligence data, on multi-year suspicious transactions and alleged money laundering totaling $ 2 trillion in a number of the largest banks.
