Grigory Yavlinsky was discharged from the hospital after heart surgery

According to Interfax, citing the press service of the Yabloko party, the condition of 69-year-old Yavlinsky is assessed as satisfactory. He was discharged amid an increase in the incidence of coronavirus in Moscow.

Yavlinsky is expected to return to work in the near future.

Yavlinsky was operated on on September 28. He underwent heart ablation surgery. Typically, such operations are performed to correct cardiac arrhythmias and are considered minimally invasive. According to the Mash channel, the Yabloko leader underwent a "heart cleaning" - plastic surgery of the walls of arteries and blood vessels was performed. The past heart operation is already the third one that Yavlinsky has undergone. Prior to that, he was operated on in Germany and the United States.

The day after the operation, Yavlinsky himself told the media that the surgery had ended well.

In the September 19 elections to the State Duma, the result of the Yabloko party turned out to be a failure: the party won only 1.33% of the vote. Thus, the political association was unable to overcome the 5% barrier required to obtain seats in parliament. Moreover, since the result of Yabloko was below 3%, the party will not receive state funds to finance its further work.

Soon after the announcement of the disappointing election results for Yabloko, Yavlinsky felt sick and was hospitalized in a state of moderate severity due to heart problems.
