According to the press secretary of the head of the Czech Republic, Jiri Ovchachek, President Milos Zeman, on the recommendation of a doctor, was taken by ambulance to the Central Military Hospital (Prague).

The ambulance that brought the President of the Czech Republic is intended for people in need of intensive care. Zeman got to the capital's hospital from his country residence in Lanakh, where he met with the country's Prime Minister Andrei Babish. The meeting was devoted to the topic of the parliamentary elections, which were held in the Czech Republic on October 9 and 10.

The convoy of cars with an ambulance left the presidential residence at approximately 12:00 Czech time (13:00 Moscow time). A presidential spokesman said on Twitter that Milos Zeman agreed to hospitalization on the advice of his attending physician, Professor Miroslav Zaboral.

TASS reports , citing Reuters, that Zeman was placed in an intensive care unit. The diagnosis given to the president will not be made public without the patient's consent, but it is known that the hospitalization is associated with complications of the illness that the Czech president suffered from earlier.

77-year-old Milos Zeman underwent a planned hospitalization in September. The head of the Czech Republic is being treated for neuropathy of the legs; due to illness, he recently found himself in a wheelchair. In addition, Zeman complained of low blood pressure and hearing problems, and was under medical supervision for diabetes.
