Figure skater Alyona Leonova ends her sports career and is expecting a baby

Leonova regrets that she was not able to announce the end of her sports career officially, because the pandemic did not allow her to make a show dedicated to this event. The planned October event at the Panin Memorial is also likely to be canceled.

TASS recalls that Alyona Leonova has a silver medal at the 2012 World Championships, a bronze medal in the Grand Prix series finals (2012) and a gold medal at the 2015 Universiade. In addition, the athlete became the world junior champion in 2009 and two-time silver medalist of the Russian championships (2010 and 2011).

The last time the eminent Russian athlete went on the ice was in the fall of 2019.
