As reported by TASS, citing data on the website of the Armed Forces, the court rejected the complaint of a resident of Yakutia, who tried to prove that refusing to wear a mask in a public place was an insignificant violation.
“Taking into account the nature of the act committed, the factual circumstances of this case, the courts rightly concluded that there were no grounds in this case for applying the provisions of Article 2.9 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation“ On the insignificance of a crime and release from punishment”, - the court ruling says.
The publication clarifies that the police detained a resident of Yakutia in a shop without a mask. For violation of sanitary rules during a pandemic, an administrative protocol was drawn up and a fine was issued.
The applicant disagreed with this decision and began to appeal against it. In his stubbornness to prove the insignificance of the offense, he reached the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. However, the VS did not take into account the applicant's arguments, considering the drawing up of the protocol and the imposition of a fine lawful.
Earlier it was reported that in the fall of 2021, the fourth wave of the coronavirus pandemic began in Russia, which is characterized by an unprecedented surge in the number of infections and deaths.
Over the past day, 32.1 thousand people fell ill with coronavirus in Russia - this is the maximum daily increase in the number of cases since the beginning of the spread of the epidemic. A day earlier, 31.3 thousand cases of the disease were confirmed, which was also the maximum figure.
Most of the cases are in Moscow. During the day, the coronavirus was confirmed in another 6.6 thousand residents of the capital. Two days earlier, the daily increase in cases in the city did not exceed 4.4 thousand. The number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic has exceeded 7.92 million.
The record number of patients since the beginning of the spread of the epidemic also failed to cope with the disease over the past day. Another 999 people died from complications per day, including 70 patients who could not cope with the disease in Moscow, 62 in St. Petersburg, 40 in the Krasnodar Territory and 38 patients each in the Nizhny Novgorod and Sverdlovsk regions.
Against the background of an increase in the number of cases of coronavirus in the country, the authorities of a number of regions have introduced compulsory vaccination for certain specialties, in particular, workers in the service sector, transport, MFC, teachers, doctors and officials. They need to get the first vaccination by mid-November, the second by mid-December. In order to stimulate vaccination and revaccination, one-room apartments will be raffled off among those vaccinated in the period from October 18 to November 21 in Moscow.
