Roszdravnadzor, together with law enforcement agencies, identified a group of fraudsters who sold fake vaccination certificates in Electrostal, Moscow Region, and then entered information about vaccinations on the State Services portal.

About a thousand people managed to use the services of this group of people, the press service of Roszdravnadzor reported.

The scammers worked according to the following scheme: six intermediaries found in the network those who wanted to receive a vaccination certificate without being vaccinated, two health workers from hospitals near Moscow entered false information about vaccinations into the system.

As a result of the audit, criminal cases were initiated under Articles 290, 274.1 and 327 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for forging documents and taking bribes. All participants in this criminal scheme were detained. A court in the Moscow region arrested all eight defendants in the case, said Olga Vradiy, a representative of the regional head office of the Investigative Committee (IC).

During the investigation, it turned out that several more health workers from other hospitals in the region may be involved in similar crimes. The investigation into this case is ongoing.

In addition, now law enforcement agencies are looking for all those who used the services of this organization. They also face criminal liability for the purchase of fake certificates.

We will remind, earlier, the police announced the initiation of dozens of criminal cases for counterfeiting tests for coronavirus and vaccination certificates. The demand for them increased after the vaccination became mandatory in a number of regions.
