According to four sources of the publication, now it will not be possible to book a ticket at the points of sale of different tour operators. Tez Tour told the newspaper that sales of tours to Turkey and the Maldives from October 25 to November 7 doubled, to Egypt - by 30%. According to Kupibilet.ru, the most popular lockdown destinations are Azerbaijan, Georgia, Cyprus, UAE, Serbia and Croatia.

On the eve it was reported that Russian tourists line up in four-hour queues at Egyptian congested airports and complain about the "bad attitude of the Arabs" who "are not welcome". Earlier, Russian tour operators recorded a 30% increase in foreign tours, in particular, to Turkey, planned for the period of non-working days.

It's worth reminding that the Russians received an unscheduled weekend from October 30 to November 7 solely due to the worsening situation with the coronavirus. The head physician of the Kommunarka hospital, Denis Protsenko, was outraged by the unwillingness of citizens to understand that the imposed lockdown was not the time to travel. Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvienko urged Russians not to use these days off as a vacation, otherwise, the politician believes, the pandemic cannot be stopped. Rospotrebnadzor also asked Russians to stay at home these days.
