Today, 4.2 million Russians who have accumulated debts cannot leave Russia, said Dmitry Aristov, director of the Federal Bailiff Service of the Russian Federation (FBSRF). Driving license is prohibited to use due to debts of 284.5 thousand citizens.

The number of debtors restricted to travel has decreased, the head of the department noted: according to the results of the first half of the year, about 6 million debtors could not leave the country. According to TASS, referring to Aristov, the FBSRF imposed 12.7 million bans on the re-registration of vehicles and 3.8 million bans on registration actions with respect to real estate. The head of the FBSRF is sure that such measures are quite effective and force citizens to pay off their debts.

According to Aristov, the main reason for non-execution of judicial and other acts is the lack of understanding of the obligation to independently and voluntarily execute them. He noted that it is necessary to create conditions under which citizens will be "maximally interested in the independent and voluntary execution" of judicial acts.

In August, we will remind, it was reported about an increase in the number of court orders to collect debts. In total, in the first half of 2021, 32.4 million enforcement proceedings were initiated. During the same period, the bailiffs managed to collect 441.7 billion rubles from the debtors.

The reasons for the ban on traveling abroad were mainly due to outstanding loans. Recently it became known that Russians spend up to 35% of their income to pay off loans.
