"The QR-codes that Russians receive on the State Services portal after being vaccinated against COVID are valid for the entire period", - the ministry said.
They clarified that on Monday morning, a number of users of the State Services portal noticed that the validity period of their QR-codes had changed from one year to six months. This happened for technical reasons. During this period, technical work was carried out on the State Services portal.
The portal is already operating normally. All Russians, whose validity period has been shortened, will be restored to their previous validity period.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health proposed to reduce the validity period of the QR codes of Russians to six months. This is due to the fact that the vaccine was originally designed to protect against the Wuhan strain of the coronavirus. Now in Russia, a more contagious strain "delta" is spreading, for protection from which at least 300 units of antibodies must remain in the human body.
From November 8, the Russians will begin to issue certificates of a new type. The document will be in paper and electronic form in English and Russian. It will include data on where the vaccination was given, as well as a QR-code.
