The sleet and rain that fell on the Jewish Autonomous Region left the Leninsky, Smidovichevsky and Oktyabrsky districts without electricity. There, the element cut off power lines and damaged power transmission towers, depriving 21 settlements of light.

According to Anatoly Panov, Acting Head of the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia for the region, reconstruction work is currently underway. He called the situation controlled, specifying that it was already possible to restore power supply in 12 settlements.

To provide assistance to citizens, the airmobile group of rescuers prepared for departure to areas with a difficult situation.

Note that the day before the incident, the department informed local residents about the coming bad weather. On the morning of November 9, restrictions were imposed on intercity transport. Currently, 14 heating points have been prepared in the Jewish Autonomous Region so that drivers and passengers in a difficult situation could wait out the bad weather in them.

It should be reminded that in October the entire South Ossetia was de-energized due to an accident on the power lines.
