Polish security officials accused of beating refugees on the border with Belarus

"According to the refugees, they were detained on the territory of Poland, where they tried to ask for protection and granting refugee status", - stated in the message of the border committee.

All four were allegedly returned to the migrant camp at the border after being beaten. All of them have numerous injuries. It is noted that the victims received medical assistance.

On November 9, a group of refugees from Syria, Iraq and Iran headed from Belarus to the Polish border along the highway, then turned into the forest. The migrants tried to cut the wire at the border and break through the fence. The Polish military used a human shield to eliminate holes in the fence. At the same time, two groups of refugees managed to break through the Polish border.

Due to the situation at the border, Polish President Andrzej Duda had to postpone his foreign visit. In early September, an emergency regime was introduced in the country, and on September 29, the head of state extended it for another 60 days.

It's worth reminding that on the border of Belarus and Poland, over two thousand refugees from the countries of the East and Africa remained in front of the Polish barriers, among them a large number of women and children. Earlier, Poland accused Belarus of trying to bring the situation on the border to murder.

On the eve, representatives of the Belarusian Red Cross delivered humanitarian aid to migrants: blankets, canned food, water.

Poland, Latvia and Lithuania accuse Belarus of helping illegal migrants pass through their territory to the EU borders.

The Lithuanian authorities on the eve introduced an emergency regime in connection with the "migration crisis".
