78% of large Russian fixed-line operators (broadband access, telephony, data center, TV, video surveillance) expect an increase in tariffs for their services next year. 46% believe that the increase will be 10% or more.

As indicated in a study by the information and analytical agency TelecomDaily, which conducted surveys of the largest operators, 32% of companies expect growth in the range of 10-15%, 14% - more than 16%.

Another 32% of respondents expect tariffs to rise by 3-9%. 20% believe that there will be no increase at all. At the same time, 2% are inclined to believe that there will be a reduction in tariffs.

In the previous two years, tariff growth was at the level of 12-15%.

Compared to 2020, the share of companies expecting an increase in tariffs decreased from 86% to 78%. The share of operators who expect an increase in tariffs of more than 10% has also decreased - in 2020 there were 74% of such.

"During 2020-2021, telecom players in these segments were actively increasing the cost of services and now they fear that the possibilities of subscribers in 2022 are severely limited", - said analysts at TelecomDaily.

Operators believe that fixed-line and mobile costs will rise the most in the next year. This was indicated by 52% of the study participants. The fact that services for business can rise in price, said 31% of companies, the growth of telephony tariffs is expected to be 28%, television - 27%, cloud services and data centers - also 27%.

It's worth reminding that in September the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) demanded that Tele2 reduce tariffs, believing that the company is unreasonably raising the cost of its services. The company thought otherwise.
