The Kirovsky District Court of Rostov-on-Don has ordered imprisonment in a general regime colony for five participants in a rally against coronavirus restrictions and isolation, which took place on April 20 last year in Vladikavkaz.

Akhsartag Ailarov, Bimbolat Bekuzarov, John Dzhioev and Valerik Melikyan, who were sentenced to three and a half years in a general regime colony, were found guilty of participation in the riots, and Zaurbek Kaitmazov, previously convicted of theft, was sentenced to four years.

In July, the Rostov-on-Don court made a decision on the appointment of real terms of imprisonment for five persons involved in this case: Armen Brikhov, Artur Javadyan, Khetag Samov, Atsamaz Tebloev and Georgy Khugaev, who were among the participants in the confrontation with the security forces. They were sentenced to terms ranging from four years and nine months to six and a half years. Earlier, Artur Bugulov, Aslan Gasiev, Magomed Kadyrov, David Okruashvili and Zaza Tsaritov were convicted in the same case.

It's worth reminding that on April 20 last year, an unauthorized rally took place on Svoboda Square in Vladikavkaz against the imposed restriction measures related to the coronavirus. Residents complained about the loss of their jobs due to the established self-isolation regime. They expressed doubt that the covid epidemic is really that dangerous.
