The most popular family resorts in Crimea are already booked for the New Year holidays by more than 90%, the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the republic said on Tuesday. On average, hotels and resorts in the region are already booked by 60%.

As said Minister of Resorts and Tourism Vadim Volchenko, most of the tours booked for early booking program and package offers from tour operators.

So far, the regional authorities have not introduced new coronavirus restrictions when checking into hotels in the republic. For a long weekend from October 25 to November 7, the head of Crimea Sergey Aksenov approved new rules for accommodation in hotels and hotels in the region. Upon check-in, guests were required to have a negative PCR-test or a QR-code, which indicated a past vaccination or a recent illness. Upon learning of this, the Russians began to cancel reservations in Crimean hotels.

It's worth reminding that from January to October the peninsula was visited by 8.7 million tourists. This is a quarter more than before the coronavirus pandemic in 2019. In 2020, when the coronavirus restrictions were in force, 6.3 million tourists visited the peninsula. This is 15% less than the pre-pandemic year.
