The attackers were also interested in antennas, headlights, DVRs, an emergency brake sensor, door handles, wipers, rear-view cameras and other parts and items, insurers specified.

As experts noted, sometimes the damage is associated with the theft of objects in the car itself, for example, thieves took away laptops, money, bags left from the salons.

For BMW damage, compensation payments were made in 16% of cases, Toyota - 12% , Kia - 9% . Cases with Volkswagen , Renault, Land Rover are 7% , 4% and 3%, respectively, with other cars - 23%.

The company also indicated that the top ten insurance events for which car owners received the largest indemnities include cases in Moscow, the Sverdlovsk region and St. Petersburg.

In Yekaterinburg, the owner of Nissan X-Trail received compensation of 400.4 thousand rubles for the theft of wheels from his car, in Revda and Yekaterinburg, 315.7 thousand rubles each and 300.1 thousand rubles were returned to the owners of Toyota RAV4 and Toyota Land Cruiser 200, which also remained without wheels.
