Mourning for dead miners declared in Kemerovo region

Information about the mourning is posted on the official Telegram channel of the region's governor Sergei Tsivilev.

As REN TV clarifies, the mourning will last from 26 to 28 November.

Earlier it was reported that on the morning of November 25, a fire broke out at the Listvyazhnaya mine in the Belovsky district of Kuzbass.

The smoke killed 11 people, more than 40 were injured. In total, there were 285 people in the mine. Of these, 239 were evacuated.

The search for another 36 people still underground continues . In the afternoon, rescue work in the mine was suspended due to the danger of an explosion: the concentration of methane exceeded 6%.

On the fact of the death of the miners the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 217 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of industrial safety requirements for hazardous production facilities, resulting in the death of a person by negligence).
