Rescuers found the surviving miner in the Listvyazhnaya mine

According to the regional governor Sergey Tsivilyov, the surviving miner is already being taken to the hospital.

Recall that a methane release at a mine in the town of Belovo, Kemerovo Region, occurred on November 25. There were 285 people underground at the time of the accident. Most of them managed to escape. As a result of the rescue operation, 52 people were killed. Among them are miners and rescuers. Another 63 people were injured.

After the incident, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on violation of industrial safety requirements at hazardous industries, which led to death by negligence. In this criminal case, the director of the mine, his deputy and the head of the section were detained. Now they face up to seven years in prison.

In addition, investigators are investigating a criminal case under the article on negligence, which led to the death of people. In this case, two inspectors of Rostekhnadzor were detained. A week ago, they were on an inspection at this mine. Detainees also face up to seven years.

The wives of the deceased miners had previously stated that the safety issues at the mine were hushed up by the management.
