Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko recognized Crimea as Russian de facto and de jure. He added that his visit to Crimea together with Russian President Vladimir Putin would mean the recognition of Crimea as Russian territory.

"We all understood that Crimea is de facto the Russian Crimea. After the referendum, de jure Crimea became Russian", - RIA Novosti quotes Lukashenko words.

It's worth reminding that Crimea became a Russian region after a referendum held there in March 2014, during which 96.77% of Crimean voters and 95.6% of Sevastopol residents spoke in favor of joining the Russian Federation.

Ukraine continues to insist that the peninsula belongs to it. She calls Crimea a temporarily occupied territory.
