The ex-head of the Kalininsky district of St. Petersburg, Ivan Gromov, who had worked in the new position for less than a month, resigned on December 6. Today he was detained in a fraud case.

“Gromov has been detained, Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation is imputed”, - Interfax quotes the message of its source.

Another interlocutor of the agency indicated that searches are currently being carried out in the administration of the Kalininsky district.

The media write that we are talking about embezzlement in the amount of 250 million rubles.

There is no official information about this yet.

Earlier it became known that the detainee, after a meeting with members of the city government, submitted a letter of resignation of his own free will from the post of head of the administration of the Kalinin district of the city.

Before that, he headed the administration of the Petrograd region for five years, and since 2012, for four years, he headed the city committee for informatization and communications.

It's worth reminding that on November 30, the head of the Ministry of Industry of Karachay-Cherkessia, Khizir Boranukov, was detained as part of a criminal investigation of false reports, the documents indicate.
