US court sentenced Russian citizen Oleg Koshkin to four years for cybercrimes

Russian Oleg Koshkin, convicted of cybercrimes in June this year, was sentenced to four years in prison in the United States. Initially, a citizen of the Russian Federation faced up to 15 years in prison.

Koshkin is involved in the case of Pyotr Levashov. They were both accused of running the large botnet Kelios, which they used to steal personal data from infected computers.

Koshkin was arrested in California in the fall of 2019. From the moment of his arrest, he has been in custody.
