74% of Russians do not plan to go anywhere for the New Year holidays, and 26% of citizens have already planned a trip.

RIA Novosti informs about it, referring to the research of analysts of the service "Rabota.ru" and "SberAvto".

23% of those who plan to travel have planned it within the country, and only 3% will go abroad.

Of those who chose to travel in Russia, 24% will go to Moscow and the Moscow region, 16% will go to St. Petersburg, 11% - to the cities of the Golden Ring, 8% - to the cities of Siberia, 7% - to the Kuban, 4% - to Caucasus, 3% each - to Crimea and Karelia.

Those who chose the “Other” option named Kaliningrad, Murmansk, Veliky Ustyug and other northern cities.

39% will get to their vacation spot by car, 34% - by train or train, 12% - by plane, 8% - by bus.

Earlier it became known that 9% of Russians are going to take time off or extend the New Year holidays on account of the holidays either until December 31, or after January 10. Basically, these are people under 34 years old - 15% of them.
