At a meeting with members of the government, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke out against the introduction of restrictions with QR-codes on transport on New Year's Eve.

As reported by TASS agency, the president listened to the reports of the Secretary-General Council of "United Russia" Andrey Turchak and Transport Minister Vitaly Saveliev, associated with the decision to withdraw the draft law on the introduction of QR-codes on transport.

“Now, on New Year's Eve, it seems to me, to impose restrictions of this kind is a rather complicated story. We will create many problems for people”, - the head of state commented.

He also listened to the explanations of Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova about the introduction of restrictions related to vaccination certificates, based on examples from other countries.

Experts believe that QR codes will be canceled temporarily, but they will return soon
