The death of the brother of the founder of the DPRK Kim Il Sung

This was reported today by the Korean newspaper Ryonghap , citing Pyongyang's state media. The Korean Central News Agency reports that the country's leader Kim Jong-un sent a wreath yesterday to express condolences on the death of the brother of the late founder of the DPRK.

"Kim Yong-chu selflessly fought for the implementation of the line and policy of the party and contributed to the acceleration of socialist construction and the development of the state social system in the Korean style, working in important posts of the party and state for many years", - the Korean media quoted Kommersant as saying.

Details of the date and cause of death were not disclosed.
