Roman Abramovich bought a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, reports the Daily Mail, citing Forbes. The 50-seat aircraft is the most expensive private jet in the world. It has a list price of $ 248.3 million and cost an additional $ 100 million for additional equipment, industry sources said. On December 18, the plane was transported from Basel, Switzerland, to Switzerland, where it was undergoing training, to Moscow's Vnukovo airport.
The plane was built in 2015 for the Swiss air carrier PrivatAir, but was never handed over to the company as it went bankrupt three years later. This is Abramovich's second private jet to have a Boeing 767-33AER.
There are only 250 Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners in the world, mostly owned by large airlines. As far as we know, only two of these planes are privately owned: one is used as the plane of the President of Mexico, the other is owned by UAS International Trip Support, which operates the global luxury charter flight "Dream Jet".
Meanwhile, Abramovich's new superyacht was sighted at sea for the first time in August. The 460-foot Solaris, the most expensive custom superyacht ever built, with 48 cabins on eight decks and a crew of 60, recently completed her sea trials and briefly docked in Barcelona before heading to Antibes. Abramovich also owns a second superyacht, the Eclipse.
The billionaire also owns a fleet of supercars, including the Porsche 911 GT1 Evo, Ferrari FXX, Aston Martin Vulcan and Maserati MC12 Corsa.
