His colleague, WHO Chief Scientist Sumiya Swaminathan, announced premature conclusions regarding the milder symptoms of Omicron relative to other strains - there is little information for this yet. She added that due to the increase in morbidity, the health care system will face a new reboot.

Earlier it became known that many European countries have imposed severe restrictions on Christmas, and the Netherlands became the first country in which there is a full-fledged lockdown because of Omicron.
