From December 25, restrictions on entry for citizens of a number of countries, including the Russian Federation, will begin to operate on the territory of Japan. Arrivals will have to go through a two-week quarantine. Such measures are introduced against the background of the spread of the Omicron strain.

According to the Russian Embassy in Japan, the duration of the quarantine will be two weeks. The venue will be determined by the authorities. First After a three-day quarantine period, the entrant will undergo a PCR-test. If the result is negative, you will have to remain in quarantine for another 11 days.

It's worth reminding that Japan has suspended visas due to the spread of the Omicron strain. The authorities have now indicated that entry restrictions will be extended indefinitely.

The new strain was identified in Japan on November 30. The first carrier of this variant of covid in Japan was a diplomat who arrived from Namibia. On the same day, the country's authorities announced the cancellation of the previously introduced concessions on the entry of foreign entrepreneurs, students and specialists into the country.
