Even worse than in Russia: Eastern European countries are dying out due to coronavirus

The pandemic situation in our country is not the worst in comparison with the closest neighbors.

Pandemic

Social psychologist Aleksey Roshchin cites data in his next publication, from which it clearly follows that Eastern Europe is literally dying out from covid! And small countries like Slovenia and big ones like Ukraine. However, for some reason, all pandemic news comes either from Russia or from Western Europe, as if countries on the continent do not exist. The world doesn't care about them?

In connection with these frightening numbers, Roshchin decided to recount them in relation to Russia, so that it was clearly visible how justified the groaning of journalists and bloggers about the "highest and unprecedented" mortality rate in this fall in our country - up to 1200 deaths per day. Is this mortality so high if you compare it with Eastern European countries?

Take the Czech Republic, for example. Over the past week, the average daily number of infections in it amounted to about 7 thousand people, the number of deaths - about 80. The population of the Czech Republic is 10.7 million, Russia - 145 million, that is, 13.5 times more. Consequently, in terms of Russia, 1,080 people would die in the Czech Republic per day. Having counted ten Eastern European countries in the same way, Roshchin got the result: Russia is only in 7th place in terms of the number of daily infections and daily deaths! Moreover, Croatia is in the lead in terms of infections, and Poland is in the lead in mortality. But in Romania, where only 40% of the population are vaccinated, the best! It is worth noting that the Czech Republic is the most vaccinated of this ten - 63%! And the indicators there are worse than the Russian ones.

"I propose to poke this table in the face to all those who say that there are too few vaccinated in Russia, and therefore, they say, we have the highest mortality...", - calls Roshchin.

PS

However, it should be noted that serious analysts do not trust the data provided by the official Russian statistics in relation to the situation in our country. In their opinion, mortality in Russia is much higher than indicated in the sources used by Roshchin.
