American Marisa Fotieo voluntarily went into self-isolation for five hours after testing positive for COVID-19 during the flight. The toilet cubicle became the place of self-isolation.

According to the BBC, on December 20, school teacher Marisa Fotieo flew from Chicago to Reykjavik. During the flight, Fotieo felt unwell. She decided to conduct herself an expert test for coronavirus infection. The test was rejected positive.

Marisa Fotieo locked herself in a closet where the stewards brought her food and drinks. In the toilet, the teacher recorded a short video and posted it on TikTok. The video has already collected 1.5 million views.

According to Fotieo, her fear of infecting other passengers (there were about 150 of them on the flight) motivated her to self-isolate.

Upon arrival in Iceland, she was quarantined at the Red Cross Hotel.
