Information about the fire at the plant was received on January 4 at about ten o'clock in the morning local time. One of the installations for deep processing of fuel oil caught fire at the plant. 84 rescuers and 26 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.

JSC Antipinsky Oil Refinery is located in the industrial zone of Tyumen in the southeast of the city near the village of Antipino. The plant's capacity allows it to process up to 7.5 million tons of oil per year.
