The strike in the Kazakh city of Aktau was joined by drivers and conductors of one of the local car parks. On Tuesday, January 4, they refused to go to work and joined a rally against the increase in the price of liquefied gas.

"We are together with the people, and now we will join the protesters", - said the workers of the "Caspian AvtoPark". Their statement is quoted by Interfax-Kazakhstan.

The publication notes that this vehicle fleet serves five city routes.

Recall that on the territory of the Mangistau region of Kazakhstan since Sunday, January 2, rallies against the rise in prices for liquefied gas have continued. Since January 1, they have doubled: from 60 to 120 tenge. The protesters chanted the slogan "Gas at 50", demanding that the price of fuel be returned to this level.

The country's authorities promise to reduce the gas price to 80-90 tenge, but this promise does not suit the protesters. The government continues to look for a solution to calm the demonstrators. A government commission has been set up in the region to tackle this problem. Law enforcement agencies were tasked with strengthening public order, and protesters were encouraged to engage in dialogue.
