Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that the withdrawal of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) troops from the country would begin in two days against the backdrop of stabilization of the situation.

According to Tokayev, the situation has returned to normal in all regions of Kazakhstan, and now the CSTO mission has been completed. The president said this during a speech in the lower house of parliament - the Mazhilis.

According to the president, during the planned coup d'état, the militants intended the militants through "professionally designed" complex attacks, but their preparation went unnoticed by the security forces. Some of them left their duty stations in the midst of the pogroms.

“The preparation of specific executors of radical measures was carried out in a conspiratorial manner. The National Security Committee, as an authorized body, could not and did not want to give a clear assessment of this subversive work, did not discern a critical threat to national security", - Tokayev is quoted as saying by TASS.

However, the coup failed. The President said that after the incident, the national security system in the country will be reformed. The amendments will affect the composition of the National Guard, special forces, border and customs services. The authorities will pay special attention to strengthening the border with China and countering attempts to merge crime and religious extremism.

At the same time, the President touched upon the problem of social inequality in the country, stating that the availability of state support measures should be increased. He said that in the next five years, the country will be prohibited from raising the salaries of high-ranking officials and deputies. At the same time, he promised to establish control over the withdrawal of funds from the country abroad. Earlier it was reported that the youngest daughter of ex-President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazabrayev Aliya withdrew $ 300 million from the country. At the same time, the media reported that during the protests, the Nazarbayev family left the country.
