The EU Ambassador to Russia responded to Lavrov's words about the Kama Sutra and impotence

At a briefing by French Ambassador to Russia Pierre Lévy and EU Ambassador to Russia Markus Ederer, held today in Moscow, the EU Ambassador commented on the words of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov (pictured) on relations between Russia and the EU.

The theme of the event was the representation of France in the European Union.

At the end of 2021, Lavrov described the EU policy towards Russia as a "political kama sutra". In January, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry convicted the EU of its inability to fulfill what was agreed with it (the European Union), comparing it with impotence.

“In both my personal and professional life, I have not dealt with any of these radical phenomena. Probably someone more experienced, or someone with a richer imagination, understands this better. In general, it seems to me that this is more a question for a sexologist or a political strategist, ”Kommersant quotes a comment by EU Ambassador Markus Ederer.

He also noted that the EU's foreign policy towards Russia is still based on five main principles. The diplomat stressed the importance of developing dialogue and cooperation with Moscow.

“Unfortunately, we have the impression that Russia is not very interested in cooperation with the EU,” Ederer concluded.

A few days earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called a “nervous breakdown” a bill of new US sanctions against Russia, provided for in the event of an aggravation of the situation in Ukraine. He also accused Washington of involvement in the crisis of Orthodoxy.
